8th AF,453rd B.G / 734th B.S,"Old Buck"enham Eng.
My uncle served in the Army Air Corp during WWII in the 453rd B.G 734 B.S at station 144 Old Buckenham England. I have been researching his life and the activities of his Bomb Group. He died two months after his arrival in England. He was an engineer on a B-24 Bomber. His plane was involved in a midair collision over Deopham Green England. The B-24 crashed near Crown Farm several miles from air base on 06Feb1945. I have the accident report of the crash. It was very helpful. I sent away for his IDPF in June 2001. It has not arrived yet. Does anyone know how long it has been taking for IDPF requests to return to you? I did recieve an interim letter stating 16 weeks. Any information would be helpful to me. Would a morning report be helpful in my uncles case? Thanks
P.S My uncles name was James Elwood Tyree #33648634,Engineer for 2nd Lt Roy Flatt(Pilot)
