Alfred Griffiths - Higher Blackley Manchester
I am trying to find information re Alfred Griffiths b.circa 1913 who died in World War 2. Alfred was the oldest son of Alfred and Barbara Griffiths of Higher Blackley Manchester and one of three brothers who were killed in action. I have located his two brothers through the CWGC - Rifleman Harry Griffiths died 1943 aged 28 in Tunisia, and Lance Corporal John (Jack) Griffiths died in area of Greece 1943 aged 24. I have been unable to find anything on Alfred but am awaiting a reply to my letter to the Ministry of Defence in this regard. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might know of this family, or who might have info on the one surviving brother George b. circa 1923. These young men were my father's first cousins, and I would very much like to be able to include Alfred's story and give him his rightful tribute along with those of his brothers in our family history.
Any information would be most gratefully received.
