Arrowheads on WWII ribbons
Recently, I read that a soldier in WWII could only receive one arrowhead for a beach-head regardless of the number of landings they participated in.
I recently purchased a set of ribbons worn by a soldier in WWII which had multiple battle stars. One had four bronze battle stars and an arrowhead. This was one of the campaign ribbons given for participation in the defense of the Phillipines. Above it was the Asia-Pacific ribbon also with four battle stars and an arrowhead. \
Have the guidelines for wear of the arrowheads changed from the 1940's and now?
