World War II Mass Graves
I was wondering if anyone can help me.I am so at a loss and have been at this now for quite a few years on and off.
My Mother had a twin, born in January of 1940 in Bury St. Edmund's, Suffolk, England. The story my Grandmother told is that since it was wartime, people were buried together in mass graves. The baby was 6 days old..died from prematurity. My Mother has always wanted to find out where this grave is to go and pay her respects to her twin sister.
I have never been able to find (by internet, live in America now) a listing for mass graves in this area, let alone who is in them.Does anyone know anything about this?
Was this standard practice and if it was how would I go about finding where and who is in these graves?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can be.
