1. GOstandS for GENERAL ORDER GO 6 refers to a particular General Order. This one probably covers the movement of the 494th AAA to its site of separation.
2. My GUESS for ASR 45, is that it represents the results of a test administered by the military after hostilities had ended, with some men assigned to universities overseas, awaiting their accumulation of the necessary points by which to rotate back to the states.
I was tested, and assigned to the University of Florence (Italy), where I studied Italian and Commercial Law for about three months, after which the University Command was dissolved, and the "student body" re-assigned to other elements.
3. Someone else inquired about the "COG" reference in separation papers, under REASON FOR DISCHARGE.
This was an acronym for "Convience of the Government", and in no way reflected on the character of the individual.
