He served inthe following campaigns and battles: Algeria-French-Morocco: Sicily:Naples-Foggi GO 33 WD 45: Rome-Arno: Rhineland GO 40 WD 45 He receivedthe followingdecorations and citations: European African Middle EasternTheater Ribbon: Five Bronze Battle Stars: Purple Heart GO 76 Hq 45th InfDiv 4/13/44 : Oak LeafCluster GO 245 Hq 45th Inf Div: American DefenseMedal: Five Overseas Service Bars, He was wounded in action on Feb 16 1944 in Italy and again on March 16, 1945 in Germany. He received an Honorable Discharge as Private 14 018 728Company C 120th Engineer Combat Battalion at Battey Hospital in RomeGeorgia on October 14, 1945.
