ISBEL, Page WWII Army Medical Corp
I am trying to find any info or kin of the following person who was my cousin. His name was Page H. Isbel from Virginia and he was KIA in Belgium during WWII.Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Linda Ellerlindameller@cs.com
Below is the obit but there was no mention of the year or the newspaper.I know it had to be 1/01/1943 or after because my parents got married in May of 1942 and Page was in the picture with them in his uniform .
"Corp. Page H. Isbel, 35 Army medical corpsman with a tank battalion was killed in Belgium January 1. The war department yesterday advised his mother, Mrs. Harold McLean of 445 Fayette street, Portsmouth. A native of Lynchburg, he had lived in this area appoximately 8 years, was captain of the Virginia Beach life-saving corps for four summers and before he entered the Army three years ago was a senior guard at the Norfolk Army Base. In addition to his mother he is survived by a twin brother James Edward Isbel of Portsmouth and another brother Roy Isbel of Norfolk."
