Re: 90th Div 359th Reg
I am trying to find out more about my gt. Uncle, Pvt. Ted B. Long. From letters, I learned he was in a replacement pool and was assigned after Christmas, 1944 to the 90th Division, 359th I.R., Company L. Ted and another soldier, John Marsteen, were shot on 9 Jan 45.German soldiers found Ted and John, bandaged their wounds, and gave them shelter for the night. The Germans had planned to take Ted and John to an American aide station the next morning and surrender. John woke up the following morning but Ted died in his sleep. Ted is buried in Malakoff, Texas.
I am a Technical Sergeant in the U.S.A.F stationed in Germany.I travel to Luxembourg, Belgium and many places in Germany.Do you know from your information what village or area company L was at on 9 Jan 45?
