ASR Score and information on Father's unit
My father's discharge papers had an ASR score of 89.How is this determined (so many points for a particular battle)?
Also, he was in the 566th Signal aircraft warning BN.In reading the WW II histories, I can track the movement of major divisions, but I cannot figure out how to tell who he was attached to or where he went.I know that he was apparently in all of the major European battles (6) (Normandy, Ardennes, etc), but I don't know or can't determine specific places that he was or where and when he moved to another location.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. He talked very little about the war.I did not realize that he was apparently heavily invovled until he passed away and I went through his records (I have all of his discharge papers, souvineers, etc).He would only tell stories about going on leave, etc. Watching the "Band of Brothers" put many of the little stories he used to tell together.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
