Raymond Spencer WWII Veteran, b. 1907/23, Stationed: Somerset and Cheddar, ENG,
Looking for any information regarding Raymond Spencer, a WWII Veteran that participated in the D-DAy Invasion of Europe...and possibly its occupation. He was said to be station in Somerset and Cheddar, England.Would that give any indication as to what branch of the armed services that he served in.Was he a decorated veteran? He was in England in at least April and May of 1944, but I do not know where he was stationed during that time.He did survive the war as he revisited England a year later.
Does anyone know this person or his whereabouts? He is thought to be in his early 80's, but might be as aged as his early nineties. His parents lived in Holt County, Missouri. One was said to be very tall while the other was very short.Raymond was said to have 'Tiger Eyes", which I supposed to suggests that they were hazel, topaz or olive.I would be interested in knowing the names of his parents, siblings, progenitors, wives or descendants.Does anyone know his migration after the war...did he return to Holt County, Missouri?Does he descend from KY, IN or IL Spencers, possibly a William Spencer of Putnam County, Indiana or Spier Spencer that fought at the battle of Tippiecanoe?
I would like to know his full name as well as that of his parents, his dob and dod should he be deceased, as well as place of birth, death and burial.
Any information would be appreciated.
