Thankyou very much for the information you haven given me. It is exactly the kind of info. I've been looking for. I wanted to know the exact operations of the 395th on the day Oscar Barton was killed. Thanks to this info, I can better narrow things down. I've been checking around on the internet reading operations histories of the 99th Division, and it is hard to figure out who they were attached to at different times. I've read the account of what the division did in the Battle of the Bulge. If my cousin wasn't there yet, he was probably glad that he wasn't. They were also the first Div. to cross the Ludendorf Bridge at Remagen from what I have read. Thanks again for the information!
