I was trying to discover whether or not the LDS site offered "town" microfilms for Italian towns such as Rende and San Fili. Both births of my gr-grandparents would have been in these towns. My g-grandmother was born in Rende (not far from San Fili) but orphaned at an early age...she was then adopted by a San Fili family who gave her their surname. My g-granmother would have married in San Fili and had her son there in 1907 before leaving for the United States in 1910.
The nearest LDS site isn't near at all, but since I know I can research that town, I'll have to try to get there somehow to order the films.
How do you know that they have San Fili...is there a way to find out what records they have for specific towns? If so then perhaps they will have Rende records too...
Thanks ever so much!
Andrea
