Pam,
I hope you are still checking these boards since your post is years old.
However, I am interested in Plunketts being Irish revolutionaries.My great grandfather was Michael Devine and he and his pregnant wife arrived in Australia in 1857 with 8 children, my grandfather John,having been born en route.On his birth certificate his mother is given as Catherine Suliven, but with subsequent birth and death certificates the name is Catherine Plunkett.
Am I drawing a very long bow in thinking that she came under a false name because her family were revolutionaries.I can think of no other reason for that one instance of 'Suliven'.
