Hi Gloria, I tried emailing on the 2009 address but it must have changed so I can only limit what I have.
As no Paley's responded to my Can You Help query, I do not have a lot and what I did was from my own googling and help from Bob Sleigh who has written a book on the Bruns family.
Johann Gottlieb Poehle departed Hamburg 26 Sep 1876 arrived SA 1877 on the Herschel from Germany. He married Freidericke Auguste Bruns 7 Apr 1882 in the Primitive Methodist Church Gawler Sth Aust
Witnesses: L Patel Chemist of Gawler and M Schmidt dressmaker of Gawler. His father is Gottlieb Poehle and hers is Freiderich Bruns
He was naturalised 1891
1885 they were living in 12 Cairns St Norwood.He died 1910

We moved to Strath 18 months ago and the sparked a renewed interest in the Paleys because of Salem being so near to here.
