I too have ancestors in western ukraine. Wolin (Wolinskoy) now known as Volynia. His name was Andrey Pawluk from Kniahinin, Wolinskoy gubernia, Russia (now known as Knyaginino, Rivne Oblast, Ukraine). He had a brother born about 1899, Joseph, that is said to have come to the US as wel, but I have found no record or this. I can provide more detail if you email me direct.
