I've come across many translations and this one is from my own line.
My great-grandfather Micheal Ondrejiscka (Ondrejicka, Ondreyicka)was born in Austria 1864 or 1866 married Anna Novak from Trnava, Austria changed to Trnava, Czechoslovakia after WWII and now Trnava, Slovak Republic. They married in Czechoslavakia in 1891.
Anyway, they had 13 children. 6 in Austria/Czechoslovkia and they immigrated to Lebanon,PA through Ellis Island in 1902 and 1903.
Three of the boys (John, Stephen, and Victor)changed their name to Andrews. (the English translation)their reasoning was that they were picked on here in the states because of the last name and the one was a businessman and easier to write.
So, I'd say try looking under "O"'s instead of "A".Any of above ring a bell?
