William gave you the census so I won't copy that.
I had assumed this was the right family also but more research showed it was not the right family after all. First here is what I found for census for Hormidas and Delima and them I will give you what I found to tell me that the family in the census is not your Hormidas.

names as indexed - so more children than you had listed. Also it shows they had 7 children but only 5 living in 1910
all children show both parents born Canada French
1900 LEWISTON, ANDROSCOGGIN, ME
Hermidas, age 35, laborer, cotton mill, born March 1865, immigrated 1899, married 4 years
Delima , age 29, wife, born March 1871, married 4 years 2 children born 2 living

Rosilda, age 10/12, daughter, born July 1899
Valeda, age 23, boarder, weaver cotton mill, born Nov. 1876,immigrated 1891
all are born Canada French with both parents born Canada French
interesting that there is a Langlois woman living with them - Hermidas' grandmother was Zoe Langlois
also in this census they had 2 children both living and 10 years later in 1910 they had 7 children only 5 living so must have had 2 children born ME who also died ME between those years.
There are 4 years between Rosilda and Theonile so could have been a couple of children born then?
I went to Maine births to see what I could find - I will give dates and names of children and then how parents names are listed - all as indexed so basically the way the indexer read them - it also lists the child number out of number of children born to that mother
July 10, 1901 M. Alma Sylvia--------Hormidas , Delima - child 3
Dec. 15, 1903 M. Clothilde Theonile ------Hormedes, Delima - child 4
Feb. 12, 1908 Jeannette Medora ---------Hernider, Oliva - child 6
March 22, 1910 Jas. Alfred Rosario--------Hormidas, Delinas - child 7
June 11, 1912Jos. Emile Alex Antoine-------Aormiedas, Delina - child 8
all of these show Delima's maiden name as Robitaille in the image and in the image for Jeannette the mother's name is Delima, not Oliva
there should be another child as child 5 is missing so I looked for all children born in Androscoggin between 1903 and 1908 since the surname could be mispelled - but I had no luck
so I went to deaths looking for the two children who died between 1900 and 1910 and found one who was not mentioned in births
April 7, 1907 Jos. Philas Laureat, aged 1 month 21 days
father Hormedas Lagault
mother Delima Robiteille
cause of death cerebral meningitis and gastric enteritis
1920 census did not show how many children they had or how many living but it seems Theonile died also
June 12, 1912 Theonile, age 8 years 6 days died of valvulary trouble following acute inflamatory rhuatisis
father Hormidas Legault
mother Delima Robitaille
I suspect that the other child who died between 1900 and 1910 would be Alma Sylvia because she was born 1901 and is not with the family in 1910
I did not find her in deaths though
So children seem to be
Marie Anna 1897,Rosilda 1899, both bornCanada,Alma Sylvia 1901,Clothilde Theonile 1903,Jos. Philas 1907,Jeanette Medora 1908Jas. Alfred Rosario 1910,and Jos. Emile Alex. Antoine 1912
In marriages I found
Jeannette married Chester H. KingME July 22, 1933
Rosario A. married Mariette Levesque, MEMay 30, 1940
Emile married Olivette Lamontagne, Sept. 4, 1933
I went back to Quebec records to look for marriage for Hermidas and Delima and for births/bapt. of first two children Marie Anna and Rosilda
SAINT-PATRICE, MAGOG, STANSTEAD,QUEBEC
August 3, 1896 after banns marriage ofHormidas Legault, of this Parish, major son of Hyacinth Legault , renter, of the Parish of Roxton Falls and of deceased Philomene Bedard on the first part and Delima Robitaille of this Parish, major daughter of Jean Baptiste Robitaille, journalier and Flavie Dumas also of this Parish on the other part.
In the presence of Phileas Robitaille, brother of the spouse and Salome Robitaille, cousin of the spouse.
so this is what tells me that the census records were not for the right family so will now look for Hormidas with these parents.
1891 ROXTON FALLS VILLAGE, SHEFFORD, QUEBEC
Hyacinth, age 60, widower, journalier, born Quebec
no other family with him - I did not find Hormidas in this census but did find Delima - let me know of you want her census info
Hyacinth Legault is in 1861 census for Shefford, Canada East
H. age 28
H. age 5
Filias age 3
D. age 1
not much to go on there
I found a death for Hyacinth Legault in 1912 and presence was a son named Ludger so looked him up and his marriage 1890 shows his parents as Hyacynth Legault and deceased Delima Bedard so I wonder if Philomene went by Delima ?
Hyacinth married Olive Marcotte in 1874 and it shows he was a widower, first wife Delima Bidard. Olive died in 1884 and he married again in 1904 to Josephine Galipeau
Found Delima's death - 1868 Roxton Falls she was buriedJan. 7, 1868
died the previous day, wife of Hyacinth Legault. Delima was 34 years old. On the same page is the birth of her son Ludger
He was bapt. Jan. 3rd born the previous day.
So she died 4 days after birth of her son.
So she would not show up in any census with son Hormidas as he was born 1865 and she died before 1871 census.
I think I found marriage for Hyacinth Legault and Delima Bedard - she is indexed as Delina Bechard but image looks like Bedard
they married in 1855 Ste-Marthe, Sainte
The image is very hard to read so cannot read their parent's names., nor the month and day of marriage.
Back to looking for the bapt. of the girls Marie Anna and Rosilda
SAINT-PATRICE, MAGOG, QUEBEC
July 17, 1899 bapt. Adelina Rosalia, born the previous day to Harmisdas Legault and Delima Robitaille of this Parish
Sponsors Ludger Fontaine and Adeline Robitaille
SAINT-PATRICE, MAGOG, QUEBEC
July 3, 1897 baptism, of Marie Anne born the same day of legitimate marriage of Hormidas Legault and Delima Robitaille of this Parish. Sponsors J.B. Robitaille and Flavie Dumond
Marie Anne is indexed as Marie Arno Lauer which made it a bit difficult to find her but I'm pretty used to crazy spellings in these records.
So that seems to account for their children. I still have not found Hormidas in census with his father.Ludger born 1868 is in Roxton Falls in 1871 with Isaac age 33 and Virginie Daigle age 23 . He is 3 years old
I looked up the marriage for Isaac and wife is Virginie Racine so not sure how they match up with the Legault family and why Ludger is with them?
I cannot find Hyacinth in 1871 either - tried using just first names for him andHormidas as well as using just surname but nothing.
So the only real proof of his parents names is his marriage record - if you could find his death record it would help to confirm
Find a grave has Delima Robitaille Legault died July 1, 1934, buried Saint Peters cemetery, Lewiston, ME
There is also an entry for Hormidas which says he died March 12, 1942 so quite a difference from the 1974 you were told.
I looked for him in the US Social Security death index and he is not listed there.
It also has in the same cemetery Theonille died June 12, 1912
Mariette Levesque Legault died Feb. 8, 1953 - this was wife of Rosario
Joseph Phileas died April 7, 1907
Jeannette Legault King, died Aug. 24, 1995
so those children match those we already know of but there is one more.M. Alma, birthdate unknown died April 22, 1902
So I am wondering if this is Alma Sylvia - would make sense as she was the daughter that did not show up in 1910 census. I went back to look for her death in the ME records using the date shown but still did not find her so for some reason she may not have been entered.
Roxton Falls entries around 1865 have several that are unreadable so Hermidas may be among those.
Hope this helps, Carolyn L
