Great Grandmother Mayla Valencourt born 1861

My grandmother Mayla Valencourt(Valencort? Vailencourt?) was born in Kinston,Ontario, Canada in 1861. Her father's name was William valencourt I believe from France in early 1800's. He was a fur trapper. Mayla went to Syracuse at age 19 to work in a shirt factory. She had a son, William V.Aubert out of wedlock. Mayla went to Alaska in about 1898 & lived there until about 1937. She died in 1954 in Tacoma, Washington. Please if you have any information of the Valencourt family from Kindston or Montreal contact me. Thank you, Phyllis
