I find it highly unusual that the microfilm has Westfield Parish 'missing', and that you are able to refer to a transcription, and a page number. usually, 'missing', means the census book has been lost or destroyed. This has happened in some cases, notably the 1851 census for Queens Co., and most of the 1861 census for Saint John County.
I believe Walker and Duplisea also published an 1861 census ofWestfield Parish. I have heard of it and seen references such as the following footnote:
1861 New Brunswick Census Records - Kings County, Westfield Parish, 1861, Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, P.O. Box 6000, Fredericton, NB E3B 5H1.
Presumably it is for sale by the PANB, but it still would not be a version of the original. But, if it transcribed, where is the original? An old book, ‘Researching Your Ancestors in New Brunswick, Canada”, Robert F. Fellows, privately, Fredericton, NB, 1979, on p. 134 states the 1861 census of Westfield Parish exists, and that Kings Co. is on films F-1598,F-1605 and F-1606. I can only imagine that you have one or two of these films, are missing the third with Westfield. The ‘F’ stands for Fredericton, or the PANB. Similar films at the National Archives (formerly Public Archives of Canada) usually began with ‘C’ for Canada. My understanding is that the corresponding films from that source are C-1003, and M-558. Again, you may have only one of these.
Does this help in any way?
Thomas
