Ebenezer Capen

By donna work February 25, 2009 at 06:55:31

Greetings to our Canadian neighbors!
My husband's CAPEN family in New Brunswick were millworkers and farmers. I have them all over the New Brunswick counties and it appears that they might be all of one family.
I have William CAPEN married to Emily Earle TIBBITTS on 25/26 Nov 1862 at Canning in Queens Co with sons Warren, George, Frank, Harry, Joseph, John Wesley and William, and daughters Fannie Amelia and Anna Bella.
I am fairly certain that said William Capen had brothers Howard and George as I have found their families associated by marriage, proximity and naming patterns.
Recently on the 1851 Canadian Census, I found Ebenezer CAPENS in Douglas, York Co. with wife Mary E,sons George P and William, and daughter Emmeline.
There is a Sunbury Co marriage record of Mary Saunders ALLEN to Ebenezar CAPEN 13 Dec 1822 at Sheffield.
In 1871 Howard Capen's household in Chipman Parish Queen's Co. includes his mother Mary.
I'm hoping to prove that Ebenezer's son William is the same William married to Emily Tibbitts.
Hoping to make connections with any and all Capen descendants in New Brunswick.
Happy Hunting to all!
Sincerely
Donna Work
