Yes.
I knew that, but I had meant possibleGerman ship line records for return voyages to port ofBremen
from U.S.
First, the Germans destroyed part of theirBremen records to save storage space.
Then, the American bombers attacking the submarine pens in Bremen during WW 2 destroyed
more records.
But, as you wrote the German Passenger Lists do exist for departures from Bremen.
In fact, in 1945 I sailed on a military transport ship from Bremen to the U.S.
Bremen/Bremerhaven was in the British zone, but U.S. had no port for exit from Germany.
After hitting a storm off the Azores Islands in Atlantic Oceanwe sailed in circles for nearly a week.
Ugly voyage.
Hope our ancestors had better luck.
