Strand means beach.Gaard or gård means farm.
Lykkesholm is located about 12 miles south east of Odense on the island of Fyn and about the 3 miles southest of Ørbæk. It is not on a regular map.There are about 12 Lykkeholms in Denmark and this one fits your description the best.

Indications are that Lykkesholm was a large manor and the workers may have referred to the manor house as "the castle" because of its size.Lykke means lucky, fortune, luck, prosperity, etc.Holm means islet ot small island.The manor house was probably surrounded by water.

Lykkeholm is located in the Ellested Parish of the Vinding District of the old Svendborg County.Lee
