Re: Help, Please!..Ivy House, Spring Hill, Worcester, 1904.
Thank you, Bill.
I am very pleased to have the full names of the children.
I thought that Caroline would have Annie and that Frank would have William but had no idea about the others.
Willie said in his letter that Florence had married in 1904 but did not mention the name of his son-in-law, only saying that he was in partnership in a large furnishing house in Worcester. I tried looking on Freebdm with no result.I will try again armed with her full name.
I wondered where Rose was in 1901 as he said that she was living at home in 1904 so she was still living.
I did not know that Willie's father was married three times. From the letter it would appear that Willie and his father's widow were not on the best of terms.
Willie's mother was Caroline Banks, the sister of my great, great grandmother, Eliza Banks.
I am assuming from your message that Annie's maiden name was Bradburn so I will look for Willie's marriage also.
How did you ascertain the full names of the children?
I am having trouble with some of Willie's cousins. They are the children of his Uncle William Henry Banks. Maud(e) E Banks was with the family on the 1881 census but notin 1891.There were two marriages in that time span, one for a Maude Emily and one for a Maude Elizabeth.I don't know if either were mine or if Maude had died.
