I was so excited to read about your search for info re the John Brierley Swarbrick family because he is my great grandfather. I know loads about them because my aunt Joan (age86)his grand daughter is still alive. My granny, Lily Sophia Swarbrick, his daughter, lived to 103. I knew all John Swarbrick's daughters. Yes Elizabeth married Tom Henry Brazier in 1895, they had one daughter Minnie Alexandra Brazier born 1898, (she was at my wedding). The Braziers came to live in the Isle of Man in 1902 & brought the Swarbrick daughters with them.Philip Swarbrick the eldest son stayed in Birkenhead where he was a publican. My auntie Molly Swarbrick was really called Ann Booth Swarbrick.Tom Brazier died in 1905 in the IOMan & Elizabeth died in 1912, also in the Isle of Man. John B Swarbrick died in Liverpool age 38 of TB. I don't think Elizabeth had a husband before John but I may be wrong. There was a rumour around the family that she was married 3 times, so maybe she was. John & Elizabeth Swarbrick were Liverpool licencee publicans.I have visited the "Rising Sun" pub where granny lived as a child it is now called "Shenannigans" in Tithebarn Street. It has been preserved as a heritage building, like a lot of old Liverpool pubs. What else would you like to knw Denise? pauline brew
