Re: William SCOTT born in Lincolnshire, England
sorry about the confusion too many names running through my head I guess....
I appreciate the fact that you were able to work it out, and I thank you for the census info.At first glance it appears that you have found me the correct family.
as to your suggestions that Ann Ayscough is NOT their mother, I assure you as far as I know this is correct.
the spelling has been suggested as being different - Askew - but this has ALWAYS been the last name associated with this marriage.
I have found the births or christenings on familysearch.org or igi....quite awhile ago, and also are in touch with other researchers who are much better at this than I am, and this is also the information that they are working off.
but having said this I have gone back to confirm this info and find that the mother is only listed as ANN...
on family search
however you suggestion about it possibly being Ann HALE/HALL - is incorrect for MY LINE
A Mary Hale/Hall DID marry A William Scott, IT IS NOT...their mother. although they seem to have the same names in their family.
this family ends up living in Little Ponton, and the father's profession at one time is a gardener.
the 1841 Census and the 1851 census definitely match with MY LINE...but so far I can't seem to find a match for 1861...I guess I will need to search a different way and hope to work into it.
I appreciate you finding it for me...not sure why I was UNABLE to find it myself....
Also tried to prove the marriage on freereg.org as you had given me the address....
I didn't have ANY luck with this...
couldn't find ANY SCOTT - woman that married....not sure why
as for the Wright men.....lots but no cigar either.
looked on ancestry and found a Mary Ann Scott - married in Oct/Nov/Dec 1850....in LOUTH, Lincolnshire. which now really has me wondering WHERE I came up with the date of 15 Jan 1851 in Barkston, Lincolnshire, for this couple.
I need to look farther back in my files, to see if I have some further proof to prove or disprove this date.
Once again I apologize for the error in the posting of the name...
and I DO APPRECIATE your help.
your reply didn't come to my home address or the notification I should say....so glad I was posting something else and found it.
