Got to wondering why there was a Maggie Dowd 26 yrs on the 1901 Census but not on the 1881 Census.So I went back and checked the 1881 Census and found who I believe could be Maggie with her grandparents.My guess would be that the Thomas Dowd on the 1901 Census is Samuel on the 1881 Census perhaps Samuel Thomas or Thomas Samuel.If this is correct then James DOOD/DOWD married Sarah Williams?????? food for thought.regards Tania
