Lachalade Churchyard- WWII Graves of Royal Air Force Crew
My mother's first husband Stanley Alan Thomas was a member of the Royal Air Force. His bomber was shot down on November 18, 1943. The plane crashed in a area known as "The Dry Ravine" not far from the spot known as "The Seven Fountains" in the Parish of Lachalade. The seven crew members are buried in Lachalade Churchyard. I have references that the grave is near the Abbey. I have this web link which refers to the location http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GScid=2189016http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GScid=2189016as being Lachalade Churchyard, Meuse, France.
Although I've researched this I have not been able to obtain an actual photograph of the graves of the crew. I would like to add this picture to remember the sacrifice by her husband at the time. RAF Sgt. Stanley Alan Thomas was 23 when he died. I understand there are 4 headstones. One has the name of Sgt Reginald Conroy who could be identified. The remaining 3 headstones have 2 names each from the crew who could not be identified.
If there is any way possible to obtain a photo of the grave(s) such as by email or an email address I should email a request to. I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions.
