Camelet

I have just found an ancestor with the name Camelet who I was told was a French name.The only information that I have so far is:-

Catherine Camelet, married Joseph Camilleri.The lived in Mustapha, Algiers.They had 7 children all born in Mustapha, Marie 1850, Joseph 1852, Jean 1854, Josephine 1856, Marie 1858, Francois 1861 and Joseph 1863.

Catherine died 28th July 1882 in El Affroun, Blida Algiers, being a widow at the time.
