Hi Gregory:
There is a farmstead Hof Evermann in Achterberg, about 1,5 miles from Losser, just across the german border. Achterberg is part of Gildehaus municipality. There always was a lot of cross-border traffic, travel, marriages etc.,so it may well be that there is a link with your Losser Evertman. Incidentally, the name occurs also as "Everink" or "Evering". This is very common: the suffixes just indicate something like "belonging to" or "family of". "Evert" of course was a fairly popular given name, so there may well be several "Everman" families that have nothing to do with each other.
The name goes back much further than what you mentioned.
In Gildehaus, there is at least certainty until 1774, but
"Everdinck" is already mentioned in 1335.
Maybe you knew of this already!
