Broese and Lenz

I am looking for the genealogy of my GGG Grandparents Johann G. & Johanna C. (Lenz) Broese or Brose with an umlaut over the "o."They were born somewhere around the beginning of the 19th century either in Sachsen-Anhalt or in Brandenburg.The Elster, Wittenberg (in Sachsen-Anhalt)records (from FHL) show them as being the parents of 6 children, but the records only go back until about 1820.
Would anyone have any clues as to where I could look?
