There is a bit of confusion here!Just like the U.S., Germany, too, has always been made up of STATES.

HANOVER (capital: city of Hanover) was a German state, and SAXONY (capital: Dresden) a German state.Johannes Wedemeier could not have been born in two different states! To say somebody was born in "Hanover, Saxony, Germany" is like saying an American was born in "Minnesota, Missouri, USA" -- two different states! Johannes Wedemeier was either born in Hanover, or he was born in Saxony. You really won't be able to proceed until you get this straightened out, as to which of the two states he was acutally born in.
