KOSTIC (pronounced KOSTICH) is a Serbian surname though it can now be found throughout Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, etc.Keep in mind that the region of northern Serbia (now Vojvodina) used to be part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire until around 1918.All civil records remained in Yugoslavia and can now be found at the several historical archives in YU.If you could specify the town or city nearest to the town they were born/came from, I could tell you where to begin searching.More info on using the YU archives on our web site www.Serbia-Today.com!If your KOSTIC ancestors were indeed Serbians fromHungary (also possible) try contacting our Hungarian colleagues at www.familytree.hu !
Feel free to contact me by e-mail if we can be of any more help:)
Good luck-
