Hi Judy,
Sue asked me to answer this for you.
Old Patrick had a son Hamilton that had two son's Patrick and Hamilton. These son's went to MO., and they younger Patrick later on to Colin Co. TX.Hamilton Jr stayed in Schyuler Co. MO.
Hamilton Jr had a son named Patrick who had a son named Hamilton who's daughter was the mother of man who I have corresponded with on this line that still lives in Schyuler Co. MO on a piece of the original Neal Land.
NOWGene said that when he was little his grandfather used to tell them that his grandfather Hamilton Neal came to America from County Cork Ireland.Which Old Patrick who died in Rockbridge did come here with son's already born in Ireland. There was also another gal who has posted quite a bit on the genforums that descends from Old Patrick's son Patrick (she calls him Ezekial I think that was a second name as I found the woman she has as Ezekial's wife, married to Patrick Jr.,and all of Patrick Jr's info as to where all he lived , childrens names and such match what she has for "Ezekial" )
Anyway...somewhere in all the stuff she posted I had noted that she also said her great aunts records (Where she got all her information) indicated that her Neal's came from County Cork.I did not put much faith in that without a record of some sort, but having two descendants from two different son's of Old Patrick to have this in their oral family history, makes a good case to start looking there.
BTW.. I never got the attachment for you family file.Ancestry connection service does not allow attachments, so it never came through.
If you click on myn name here you will have my regular email address.
Take Care, Hope to hear from you.
