These ANDREWS messages are interesting to me -- hope I'm not too late to add a question. I have long had a brick wall involving my gg-grandfather Joseph ANDREWS, b. ca 1801(in Ireland as far as I know). He and his wife Jane ARMOUR appear in Saint John, New Brunswick in the early 1840s - their 5 children are all born there. However, I have not been able to find their origins, or where they married. The 1871 and 1881 census records have them being of Irish birth. It has just been suggested to me by a very knowledgeable genealogist that there may be a connection with an ANDREWS family appearing in Ballyloughan townland, Kilmore Parish, County Armagh. The names appearing there (ca 1820s and 1830s) are William, Robert and Joseph. I do not know if, or how, these ANDREWS men are related -- possibly some of the participants in this message thread might have an idea? I have more information about Joseph & Jane (ARMOUR) ANDREWS here:
