Scott Logan O'Donnell marriages

By genealogy.com user April 13, 2000 at 05:35:06

James Scott married Mary Logan c 1840. They emigrated in 1847 with their two boys, Patrick age 10 and John aged 6 to settle near Toronto Ontario (then Upper Canada) where James older brother Stephen and his wife Catherine (O'Donnell) and their 10 children had moved to in 1841. This had been after Stephen and Catherine had emigrated from Tipperary, from a place along the river Shannon and come to Quebec in 1838.Stephen and Catherine had been married c 1818-1820 and brought with them Patrick, John, Michael, a daughter possibly Catherine, Mary or Margaret, my gg grandfather Stephen, Bridget James and one other sibling, possibly a William who may have been in the age range of the older boys. James Mary's husband was said to have been born in Co Clare. He came on the same ship as the family of Patrick O'Grady from Tipperary and his wife Bridget Moloney, who was from Clare. Two of their sons married two of the daughters of Stephen Scott after they arrived in Toronto.
