Re: Looking for Bernard Crawley
I searched the IFHF's online database at ROOTSIRELAND.IE. It has abt 20 M church, civil, census, etc B/M/D records for MOST of Ireland, including parts of Cos Cork and Dublin. Records before 1863 are increasingly sparse - almost non-existant before 1800. For the surname CRAWLEY, there are only 1,412 B and 664 M records in ALL of Ireland (in this database) for all time. This suggests they were Protestant. Protestant records are the LEAST likely to have survived.
For Bernard Crawley B ????, somewhere in Ireland, with a father forenamed John, and mother Mary, I found 0 records.
The B event SHOULD have been recorded by civily. Suggest you contact the General Register Office at GROIRELAND.IE to continue your search. It has records which haven't been transcribed into the IFHF's online database.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
