Re: Nagle in Skerries, County Dublin
I search the IFHF's online database at ROOTSIRELAND.IE. It has abt 20 M church/civil/census/etc B/M/D records for MOST Irish counties. Records before 1863 are increasingly sparse - almost non-existant by 1800. Protestant records are the LEAST likely to have survived.
For Mary Nagle B 1901 +/- 5 yrs, Co. Tyrone, with a father forenamed James, and mother Sara(h) McNally, I found 2 records: both in 1900.
For John Nagle B ditto, I found 2 records: both in 1904.
NOTE - The fact that there are two records for each in the respective years suggests that one record may be church, the other civil.
Views of the detailed records (at a small fee) MAY reveal info on James Nagle's DOB/POB in Cork. This could lead you to his parents' records.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
