I hope someone is able to help. My grandfather, Alexander Erskine Alexander, owned race horses in Ireland at the end of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century. They were raced at The Curragh in Co. Kildare. I understand grandfather entered as an owner in these races under the name Mr. Christie although it may have been Captain Christie (spelling may have been Christy).
I am unable to trace a relationship to a Christie family - grandfather was from the Ballyeaston area of Co. Antrim and he lived in Belfast when he was a young man.
