If he died after 1963 you might be able to obtain information from social security. If you send form 81 to NARA for USA passenger arrival in his name and date or year of birth then you may get a record of his arrival in the USA and then his place of oriign in Italy where all the information is available.He may have come in at Boston, Massachuisetts so send an e-mail as well to NARA in Waltham Massachusetts at [email protected] Petertimber
