Toms family

William Toms (possibly son of John Toms & Mary Rowe of Cornwall, and brother of Edward Toms born 1839 Beer Ferris, Devon) was sergeant of police in Kobe, Japan and later worked for a company called Nickel & Lyons Ltd. William died in 1901 in Japan.

He had two daughters and one boy. The boy was probably William J. Toms born Kobe c.1884; he was in Liverpool 1901 census but later returned to Japan and took his wife's name of Onishi before working in Osaka. At least one of his sisters lived in Japan during WW2.

Any information regarding this Japanese branch of the family would be most welcomed.
