Jan, on a facsimile of a 1925 map as well as in Endzelin's' place name encyclopedia for that year, there was a farmstead called Prieks'a'ni in the Birz'u pagasts (a pagasts is more or less equivalent to a county/shire/parish).The apostrophes denote Lett diacriticals for the previous letter -- the 's' has a check-like mark above it and the 'a' has a straight line above it.
A current road atlas and a satellite map (from year 2000) shows three farm houses close together in the location marked as Prieks'a'n'i.After 1944 the names and borders of some of the pagasts changed and now these houses are located in Leiman,u pagasts. The approximate location is 12 km (approx. 7 miles) WSW of the town of Li'va'ni and 18 km (approx. 11 miles) SE of the town of Je'kabpils. To see roughly where it is located, follow this link:

It is not unusual for two (or more) farmsteads to have a related name.I'm only speculating, but perhaps in previous centuries one of the farmsteads was called Maz- (in English: small) Prieks'a'n'i and the other was called Liel-(in English: large) Prieks'a'n'i. I believe that the latter is what you are seeking.
All the best,
Elizabete
