Ottoman passport records for Lebanon

Does anyone know if there are still records from the Ottoman empire for the inhabitants of present-day Lebanon, around 1880-95?

I'm looking for departure records for Lebanese who left via Beirut around those dates. They must have been issued Turkish passports or travel permissions. I have had no luck in Lebanon finding these records. Could they be anywhere in Lebanon or Turkey and how could I consult them??
