I saw the surname and was struck by the fact that the word for "Hurried" in Lithuanian is "Skubinas".
The phrase "He is hurrying" would be translated as "Jis skubina".
One of my Lithuanian ancestry lines went the other way, originating from a village in East Prussia about 20 miles east of the Lithuanian border in what is now Kaliningrad.
Part of East Prussia was known by Lithuanian as "Lithuania minor" because of the large number of ethnic Lithuanians who lived there.
What is your 1722 evidence of a Lithuanian connection?
