Re: A Huge Question- Rafael Bautista 1910 Revolution?
Is wonderful to hear from you! After gathering information from older siblings this is the story: Rafael was actually born in 1900 in Zacatecas, he joined the Revolution as a teenager, with his sisters Maria and Juana, I don't know if the sisters joined with their men, which was common at that time, anyway Rafael and Maria ended up in Chihuahua, Juana returned home. Rafael was killed by a General, Maria in turn killed the General and ended up in jail. Maria's father my grandfather hired a lawyer that got her out of jail. Maria ended up migrating to United States and lived there until her death in 1964.
Thank you so much for the Revolution lesson, it does make lot of sense. Javier I know about the oral stories, so how can we really know about our family history? Lot of family members knew about this story, when aunt Maria and our Dad talked about it.
Do you know if there is a way to find out the casualites names of people from the Revoulution? I'd found so many death documents and the one closer to me (Rafael) I don't know just how to do it.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, I truly appreciate you helping all of us.
