Re: Frycki Family - Zydowskie Poland
Mary Snow has already provided you with the information about the Fedor/Frank/Theodore Frycki family residence in Pricedale/Belle Vernon/Rostraver, Westmoreland County PA.
Although I cold not locate a passage record for Fedor/Theodore, Karolina/Carolina or Amil/Emil, I was able to locate passages for his brother Michal/Michael/Mike Frycki and his half sister Anna “Dunianowicz”
Michal Frycki had two (2) Ellis Island passage records:
In the first passage, He arrived in New York on February 15, 1901 on board the S.S. Noordland. His ethnicity was listed as Hungarian and his last place of residence was “Zydowskic” (probably should be ZYDOWSKIE).He was 17 years old and single when he arrived in the U.S.His destination was Belle Vernon, PA where he was going to join his brother Theodore Frycki.
In his second passage, He arrived in New York on November 24, 1904 on board the S.S. Main. His ethnicity was listed as Galicia/Polish and his last place of residence was “Jywadski” (probably should be ZYDOWSKIE).He was 19 years old and single when he arrived in the U.S.His destination was Pricedale, PA where he was going to join his brother Teodore Frycki.
Anna “Dunianowicz” arrived in Baltimore on August 17, 1905 on board the S.S. Brandenburg. Her ethnicity was listed as Ruthenian (Russniak) and her last place of residence was Zydowskie. She was 17 years old and single when she arrived in the U.S.Her destination was Box 138 in Belle Vernon PA where she was going to join her half brother Teodore Frycki.
To see Zydowskie on a map, go to the following web site:
The map is in Polish. In the white box below Miejscowosc, type in ZYDOWSKIE (capitalized for emphasis only). Then click on POKAZ. Next zoom-in using ZBLIZ and zoom-out using ODDAL.
Tarnow, which is the location in Poland Emil Frycki listed on his WW I Draft Registration Card, is about 71 kilometers north and slightly west of Zydowskie.
According to the 1920 U.S. Census, Theodore was naturalized a U.S. citizen in 1906.His naturalization documents are probably on file with the Westmoreland County Prothonotary Department.
