Hi Frank, There are a couple of U.S. records for the Adam Bonar family. There is a 1930 U.S. census record, indexed on Ancestry.com as Adam Bonar living in Young Township, Indiana County, PA. There is a WW I Draft Registration Card indexed on Ancestry.com as Adam Bonar. There is a July 15, 1913 New York passage record for Adam “Bonow”. There is a December 3, 1913 New York passage record for Francizka Bonar and her 9 month old daughter “Jannia”/Anna.
Adam Bonar was born in Zborow Russia/Poland on December 5, (or 3rd) 1878.He married Franciszka/Frances in 1911 in Zborow Russia/Poland. Frances was born in between 1889 and 1894 in Zborow Russia/Poland. By 1930, they had three (3) children:Anna born in 1915 in Poland, Helen born in 1921 in Pennsylvania and Frank born in 1925 in Pennsylvania.Adam, Frances and Anna all immigrated to the U.S. in 1913.In 1930, Adam was still listed as an alien and was unemployed. According to the WW I Draft Registration Card, Adam was born on December 5, (or 3rd) 1878.At the time of his registration on September 12, 1918, he was living with his wife Frances in Iselin, Indiana County, PA.He was employed as a laborer with the Pittsburgh Gas Coal Company (P.G.C. Co.) in Iselin, Indiana County, PA. Adam immigrated to the U.S. first.He arrived at Ellis Island on July 14, 1913 on board the S.S. Finland.He is indexed on the Ellis Island as Adam “Bonow”.His destination was Iselin Pa where he was goingto join his brother-in-law Piotro “Porys”.He listed his nearest relative in his native country as his wife Franciszka Bonar living in Zborow Russia/ Poland in the gub. of Kielce. Frances and Anna Bonar arrived on Ellis Island on December 3, 1913 on board the S.S. Zeeland.Their destination was Iselin PA where they were going to join their husband and father, Adam Bonar.They listed Frances’ brother in Zwierzyniec as their nearest relative in their native country. Next zoom-in using ZBLIZ and zoom-out using ODDAL .There are five (5) locations in Poland with the name Zborow.I think your family is from the Zborow located in the woj. of Swietokrzyskie in the powiat of Buski in the gmina of Solec-Zdroj.Note that the villages of Zborow and Zwierzyniec are only about a half of a kilometer apart.Also, that Kielce is located about 55 kilometers to the north.
