Jacob, Josefa, Apolina & Bronislawa "Sulscka" Solecki Ancestral Home MAZOWSZE
Hi dear friend Norbert,
If I can help:
The American family ancestral land, parish, and church in Poland would be the MAZOWSZE, located in Lipno County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.
In the 19th century the part of this village MAZOWSZE was named as HORNOWKA, and in the parish MAZOWSZE area was the village HORNOWEK - in the 1784 named as KORNOWKO (yes, thye first letter was K), in 1827 as HORNOWKO, 1882 as HORNOWKO, in 1921 as HORNOWEK
(source: Polish etymological and historical works).
Here is the image of the family ancestral church in this Mazowsze, the cemetery is located at the church:
This MAZOWSZE counted in abt 1880: 31 homes and 434 inhabitants, this church was errected in 1782.
For Richard and his wife, here is this Mazowsze and local area from air, with a happy virtual tour to Poland:
Present-day surname location gives in the area 2 families surnamed Solecki - fully spelled in Polish as So³ecki - l with diacritical mark slashing the letter, both families living in nearly located the town of Torun:
Anna So³ecka, Torun, Poland
Hieronim So³ecki, Torun, Poland
LDS in Salt Lake City has microfilms from 1721-1902:
From a/m links we see also the local archives in Poland:
With the best good luck!
