Thank you Robert. I apologize for the misspellings and have corrected them in what I have of my family tree. Many of the people of Romanian decent in Saskatchewan have misspelled the name of their town as it was something that was only committed to writing a generation or two after having arrived in Canada.

The correct spelling was the result of a Wiki search and I forgot to correct it.

Thanks so much for the links I will definitely try to pursue this further and see if the Constanta archives could be of any help.

I also have ancestors from nearby Murfatlar. I know that town also had another name of Basarabi.
