Translation !!

Can any kind person help, I am researching the Echlin Family and on a document from 1616 it says Robert Echlin, Wobster in the Waltoun of Auld Lundoris. par. of Ebdie. Does anyone have any idea of what this means.
Any info on the Echlins would also be appreciated.
