"BAMBERRY" "BAMBER" EAST LOTHIAN, SCOTLAND

HELP PLEASE!!

JOHN BAMBERRY (BAMBERY)was supposedly born 1839/40North Berwick, East Lothian.This is stated on Birth Certificates of two of his children....BUThis Death Cert states he was born in Glasgow.

John was the son of JAMES BAMBERRY and MARGARET...........

In 1858, he emigrated to New Zealand on the ship 'Nourmahal'
either ( coincidentally or not)with an Andrew Meston Bamberry. (Andrew was bn 1833, the son of William BAMBER and Joanna Wilson, and his family have been relatively easy to research. )John has not been so easy, and does not obviously link into this other Bamber family.

He married Margaret McIntosh Douglas 1861 New Zealand, and they had 13 children...They farmed around the Dunedin area.
